The Kaki Place resides in one of the last pristine patches of the Slovenian Coast, on abandoned terraces previously used for farming, vineyards and olive groves. The lush vegetation offers generous cool shade during the hot summer days.
All facilities are mostly built from local natural materials. We source a part of our power from the sun and our fruit and vegetables from the local growers. We sort our waste and provide information on living green to our visitors.
We also offer bicycle rental (used and refurbished) to promote cleaner transport. For sports activities and organized tours, we will gladly point you to the best local service providers.
This way, we are looking to give back at least a little to our immediate and broader environment.

It is built on abandoned terraces using the dry stone walling technique that is included in Unesco's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Old and refurbished bicycles are available to our guests (including children's bicycles and bicycle seats) for a picturesque ride to the nearest beach, Piran, or, taking the Parenzana Trail, to the Strunjan nature reserve.
All guests are welcome to use the open-air kitchen. With a large shared table and benches around the fireplace, it is the social hub of the Kaki Place where "kindred spirits from all walks of life" meet. The kitchen has two gas burners and a grill, and some basic cookware, while some herbs and spices and vegetables from nearby gardens may save you a trip to the grocery store (located 500 m from the camp).
In addition to a sanitary container with 3 showers and 2 toilets, there are also 2 outdoor solar-heated showers and an extra unit with 3 toilets.
Accommodation in Istrian unique lean-to sheds or in your own tents.
Excellent starting point for a trip to the salt ponds, a bicycle trip along the coast or the inland, or a visit to local organic tourist farms, olive groves and vineyards. Also Postojna cave, Skocjan caves and Lipica Stud farm are just half an hour away.
Hammocks, benches and quiet corners for a retreat from the shared area to enjoy a moment of piece in pristine nature. Mini table tennis, mini basketball, organic gardening. A nearby gorge offers an interesting short trip into the heart of the littoral wilderness.
Easily accessible. Check out where we are on Google Maps.
Due to narrow road and lackage of parking spots, Kaki is not appropriate for trailers, campers and vans.
Each shed is a story unto itself. We used local materials to build these tent shelters.
The tents are placed on wooden bases and covered with local vegetation functioning as a roof. To make you dreams even sweeter, the tents are equipped with mattresses, pillows, blankets and fresh bedding.
There is a bench or a hammock in front of each unit.

In the upper part of the camping site, in the cool shade of the trees, there is an area where you can pitch your own tent. The terraces formerly used for agriculture are of different sizes, but none of them is particularly large.
The spots for tents are precisely marked, which is why the number of tents in the camping site is limited. There is a bench or a hammock on each plot. Our two largest plots span 5 × 3.5 m, while others are no larger than 2.5 × 4 m.
